This is a Camera Oscura - it's NOT a video - but a LIVE image of the city around you.
It sits on top of a tower. It consists of a big mirror and a big lens.
The mirror is pointed to any part of the city and it then beams back through the lens an image of the city.
The lady holding those two ropes controls the pitch and angle of the mirror.
The detail is FANTASTIC -- BETTER than HD. it's live you see birds flying, flags waving, clothelines move and people and cars move.
It's as old as DaVinci.
It may have been used by the Dutch Masters to "calcar" draw by projecting the views into a canvas.
Think of it as a HUGE camera (size of a room) that you go INSIDE of it.
I've always wanted to see a Camara Oscura since I was 10 or so and read about in Sherlock Holmes and other novels.
The pictures are clear but you should see the video: AMAZING.
