From My Kitchen
I cooked this section in our house on Florida so I had Cuban bread handy. When I cook it at home in the northeast I use Italian bread.
Please leave me your comments and suggestions. Even your likes and dislikes...
Take a deep breath - can you smell it?
A word on the pizza stone:
You can be extravagant (and foolish) and buy a $99 pizza stone
or you can be frugal (and smart) and buy a $14 one. -- Both measure around 15 diameter
They also sell some shaped to fit on grills so you can do this outdoor instead of indoor.Batidos (also called batidas or smoothies) are my favorite drinks to make.
I typically use fresh tropical fruits when available.
This one is easy to find anywhere: fresh sweet cantaloupe, fat strawberries, milk (evaporada or from the carton), brown sugar crystals aka "turbinada" large crystals of sugar made with 100% sugar cane-( do NOT use brown powdered at all ), do use tons of ice and a blender.
If you try to gulp it and you DON'T get brain freeze you didn't add enough ice.
I also make frozen adult drinks (replacing the milk with spirits).
